English

I was inspired by the third stanza of the Indonesian anthem: We live in a holy and sacred land, where we stand and protect our divine mother (Indonesia). Islands and seas are as important as the people and children of the nation and must be protected as part of the True Mother to continue to progress as a country and its guide.

Underwater portraits are interpreted as part of the natural wealth of our divine Mother. Love for the motherland's sea must also be balanced with an awareness to protect our waters as there is a life full of colour which contrasts with others. The movement of nature tends to be static as an individual and dynamic as a unit, and living in a diverse unity presents answers to many unspoken questions.

Indonesia
