Lotus atau dalam Bahasa Indonesia biasa disebut dengan bunga Teratai, merupakan bunga yang biasa ditemukan disekitar rawa. Bunga Teratai sering kali dikaitkan dengan banyak hal, namun pada umumnya bunga Teratai mengartikan sebuah bentuk suci untuk kemurnian, rebirth, dan kekuatan. Bunga Teratai dapat diartikan sebagai berikut dikarenakan kontrasnya bentuk bunga tersebut dengan bentuk habitatnya; dimana melalui permukaan rawa yang berlumpur, bunga Teratai dapat bangkit dan memekar tanpa membawa noda sama sekali.
Pengartian tersebut pun mengingatkan Naya akan sosok-sosok wanita yang ada dalam hidupnya.. Masing-masing wanita tersebut membawa cerita yang berbeda dan tidak sedikit dari mereka yang mengalami berbagai macam lika-liku kehidupan. Sama halnya seperti bunga Teratai, masing-masing dari mereka berhasil tumbuh keluar menjadi sosok yang indah dan kuat.
Tentang Seniman :
My creative works usually revolve around my process of existing and becoming. I talk about desire, comfort, and acceptance through my vizualized rawness of feelings. When it comes to materials, I experiment with fabric quite frequently in the past : as for recently, i become fond of painting. I use painting as a form to interpret things by way of simplifying the space, line, and color as an attempt to reduce the complexity of the object’s shape to be made into the essential basis.
My works explores the relationship between comfort and simplicity on a day – to – day basis. I considered my work as a medium to navigate the different phases in life. When it comes to our most naive feelings, people teng to have some sort of similarity in ways of seeing it. As for me, comfort can be seen as a way to provide some sort of security and serenity, and at the same time, it takes a small part in living by giving a sense of purpose in life. Thus I believe the slightest thing that humans feel must be related to the value of life that we hold; the same goes for comfort.
